The APOV Annual Gathering
Since 1996, we have held APOV Annual Gatherings that are a wonderful opportunity to come together, get to know each other, network and share inspiring healing arts experiences. Each Gathering is organized around a theme and various APOV members present workshops that are related to that theme. The day is a heart-centered time, an oasis of connection in our busy lives, and a memorable event for all.
The 2009 APOV Annual Gathering was held on October 24th.
Location: The Unitarian Universalist Church in Springfield, VT.

"We are in a time of collective awakening. Individually we are each opening to the deeper voice of our own as well as a collective soul.
There are many facets in this work of waking up and expanding human consciousness. As we build community, we learn from each other. These new found awarenesses in turn flow into the collective field and create a healing vibration for the greater good.
For this reason it is beneficial that we further our efforts to build community, to collaborate and to network with each other.
We at APOV are a conscious group striving to further these values among psychotherapists, healers and light workers, and among all people who choose to seek and to serve."

A Note from Betty Moore-Hafter:
The APOV Annual Gatherings are very special to me for a unique reason: the first one I attended literally changed my life. In 1996, I was longing to transition into work in the healing arts but having trouble finding my path. I had tried a graduate program that didn't work out and had gone back to teaching. It was in March of that year that my friend Blake Gould invited me to attend the APOV Annual Gathering with him.
I cannot tell you what it meant to me to find this community of heart-centered, spiritually-oriented, alternative/complementary practitioners! All day long, I kept feeling like this was where I belonged. It was like finding my vision and my inspiration, knowing that I wanted to be like these wonderful people. I saw people doing amazing, creative work outside the licensed/certified fields. Ray, Kathy, Su, Rupa, Courtney, Jean, Michael, & Nye, you all inspired me so much! And you were so warm and welcoming. I will never forget it. I later met with Su Hoxie and Kathy Beinert who lived in my area to hear more about how they had found their paths. I signed up for some excellent psychosynthesis training with Jean Guenther. I followed my heart into hypnotherapy and EFT trainings. And within less than 2 years, I had opened my practice.
Without the inspiration, role models and generous support of the APOV group, I don't know if I could ever have created a practice in my own way and fulfilled my dream. APOV truly made a difference in my life. To this day, it is a wonderful community that I treasure. I look forward to the Annual Gatherings, which are so rich and memorable and create such great connections. As we form the circle that always ends the event, our hearts are full, and the love flows all around.
